Patrick has spent over 30 years with various companies and law firms, ranging from several multinational companies, a large patent boutique, traditional big law firms, to small law firms. Before joining Innovators Legal, Patrick worked in numerous roles: research chemist, patent liaison, patent agent, and patent attorney. He has broad international business experience, having lived and worked in Europe early in his career.

Patrick has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in chemistry, material science, polymer science, pharmaceuticals, compositions, agricultural products, and mechanical devices. He drafts and prosecutes U.S. patent applications, corresponds with foreign associates to guide the prosecution of foreign applications, provides strategic portfolio management to both U.S. and foreign clients, and develops patentability/FTO opinions. He is an experienced expert witness in organic chemistry and patent practice.
